So... It's been a while since I've had commissions, and for months now I haven't had more than a few cents in my PayPal that really don't serve any purpose by themselves.

Because of that, I'd like to remind everyone that my commissions have reopened a while ago! It's been really long since I've had any money to manage for myself, and there's a bunch of things I'd like to get. I'm back on Wakfu, for example, and could really use the budget for 30-day hero boosters. There are also some physical goods I'd like to be able to afford, not to mention I'd like to be able to purchase a Switch by the end of the year so I can play the upcoming Pokémon games.

I literally cannot get a proper job without losing the healthcare benefits that I'm making use of to help with my mental illness (my mom is a retired teacher, and as such me and my dad receive something similar to a free health insurance for public workers and their families). Aside from that, I'm very low energy and once I get proper employment (which is pretty hard in Portugal right now, too) I won't be able to dedicate myself to my stories and artwork nearly as much as I can now.

Remember I can draw ocs, fanart, or even design a character for you! If it's within my skill level, I'll do it. I'll also try and make some adoptables in the near future and see how that goes, so keep an eye out!

It'd mean the world to me if you, my watchers, were to pitch in and commission some artwork. Something as cheap as a chibi sketch already helps me a ton! Please remember that by allowing me to have money of my own, you're not only helping me ground myself to things that help with my mental issues but also providing me with creativity fuel for my drawings and stories!

I hope you all have a great day/week, remember to take good care of yourselves too, if you're in the northern hemisphere and under a ton of heat like me please drink lots of liquids and stay cool, and know I appreciate every single one of you who watches me or faves my works! There's no greater joy for me than seeing people enjoy what I do! So, if you can, help me keep doing it! If you can't that's ok, I appreciate you a lot nonetheless~

My desktop's finally up and running again! Not to say I haven't been using it (like for the Puppertale concepts), but I feel more safe now that I know it'll power back on even if I shut it down the day before. Which by the way. Is what it wasn't doing.

So... today was the last day of October, and also of Inktober. I thought I'd write a little closing entry about this month and what it meant to me artistically.

The overall experience was positive, I must say. I started off very hyped, lost a lot of steam near the end but still managed to accomplish the challenge of drawing something everyday(ish). Many of the ideas I worked on were a lot simpler in my head, but I'm glad I pushed myself to start doing more backgrounds and/or environmental lighting to add to the story each image is meant to tell.

I think I've improved the most at drawing hands and feet, lineart, working speed, creating an atmosphere for each image and losing my fear of backgrounds. The greatest challenges were envisioning some concepts as images that held some meaning to me (and I believe many will be lost on people who aren't closely familiar with my stories, at least without the description I wrote down for each of them) and to work with varying degrees of realism and detail to transmit either serious or comedic vibes from my pieces instead of doing everything in one single, uniformized style. It was also challenging to find it in me to draw everyday again, and for many pieces I've stayed up way past reasonable bedtime so I could get a finished work by the end of the day.

I think this challenge set me back on the right path to eventually take back drawing from the clutches of my depression once and for all and got me to think about all my stories and of scenes I thought I'd forgotten about. It also helped me realize there is hope for a routine that can balance drawing, gaming and naps in a somewhat satisfying way.

To round it up nicely, I want to say I'm proud to have stuck with the challenge to the end and I'm glad xKatyBlackRosex invited me to do it with her. I'm also very proud of her for sticking to it as well, as I know she was struggling at least as much as I was. I think we both came out of this month as better artists and with a reinforced bond that I was afraid of slowly losing as we moved from an iRL friendship to an online one. We both learned a lot, and we both deserve to pat ourselves on the back for such a productive month. That's what I firmly believe.

Finally, I want to send out a big thank you to all of my watchers and other people who followed my progress througout the entire thing or simply dropped by to show appreciation for a particular piece. You're the best!
